We started this journey as a family going from 3 members to 5. On December 12th we brought home our precious second son. Making us a family of 4. We'll see how and when God choses us to become 5.

Praying, fasting and blessings
Sooo a bunch of us decided we were going to fast and pray from 8 p.m Wed. night to 8 p.m Thurs. Well I was nervous because I have never gone that long without food. Well lets just say that God gave me a lot of Grace and I had a fever for the last 48 hours which totally depleted my hunger. Is that cheating? Well I spent a lot of time in prayer for some very specific families who are in the process of difficult adoptions. They miss their little ones and want to bring them home.
Well we also have all been blessed and excited to see some families receive referrals of their little ones. Are you ready for this number? 8 Girl Referrals were given out this month! Yes 8! I have no idea where that puts any of our numbers and I don't want to even guess! I just want to be excited for my friends who have just met the newest members of their family.
NOw we start praying they are able to travel before the Gov. shuts down.

Anniversary pic
We're back
So we are back! Vacation was wonderful! I have decided that I want to be on vacation permanently. It was so nice to have a break from reality. One thing I really enjoyed was not having any access to a computer. I have become a daily e-mail/list serve checker. I want so badly to watch progress. Even though the progress indirectly happens to me. My favorite subject lines are.....We have a referral. There is one family in particular that has really been on my heart. They are currently #1 on the Sibs. and #2 or #3 on the individual boy and girl lists. I would be crazy with anticipation. Well my prayer was they would recieve news while I was on vacation but they have not.
Well here are a few vacation pics...

Today
Today was one of those days you look back on and think what in the world did I do today...
We are getting ready to be out of town for 10 days. I have not been feeling 100% I think allergy season kicked in late for me this year. We are having house/dog/ubber fat cat sitters come stay so I feel like I want to leave the house in amazing condition (or at least comfortable living condition). Anyway we are leaving a day early so that we can visit some friends from college, so I need to get in gear and I have to say that I once again left it all to the last minute. Oh wait no I did pack My suitcase, curious's suitcase, and our swimming suitcase...sad that is all I did and I do believe that took me all morning. I did have to stop frequently to check on Curious George and the 9,000 things he would get into during my 20 minutes of being out of the room.
I do have to say that We are in a much better place than we were a few weeks ago. We really are understanding more and more what it means to wait patiently for the Lord. I often think of the praise and worship song....it has a line "Strength will rise as we wait upon the Lord," I have to say I never totally understood how that could be possible. Again God is teaching us so many amazing things through our adoption.
Our beginnings
Here is a little of our story about growing our family through the miracle of Birth and the Miracle of adoption.
We really have a passion for adoption and thought we were going to adopt our first born. God had other things in mind, and our little curious George(not his real name:) was born in 2005. We put off adoption plans until he was about 18 months old. Lets just say we are still in the process and George is now three! Now we didn't officially start our paperwork and everything else until Aug. 22 2007. It has been a crazy whirl wind of paperwork and anticipation ever sense.
Here are our official #'s....
#6 on Siblings 0-2yrs
#13 on Boys 0-2yrs
#17 on Girls 0-2yrs
We know that our age parameters are small but we really feel like God created Curious to be the oldest.

I can't wait to write the whole story of why we are on here and the journey God is taking us on!
but it will have to wait! My Butt is asleep and I am tired.
